After starting out as one of our favorite parts of modern American cinema, this tactic is quickly becoming an aspect that we really hate. Every time we hear that a film based on a novel will be split into two parts, we roll our eyes because the producers are sacrificing quality for quantity - that is the quality of a single film for the amount of cash that two films will make. This hurts the film industry tremendously. When one knowingly does his or her job in a subpar fashion in order to make more money, he or she has lost all credibility in our book.
